The Story The Project About Us About AFI Donations Contact Trailer

Dead Man's Hour is a 2006-2007 MFA Thesis Film at the American Film Institute (AFI). It's the story of Billy, a hitman killed in the same instant his heart broke... a man who now has a second chance to forgive those who betrayed him.

The film will be shot in early March in Los Angeles, California and the neighboring harbor community of San Pedro. This dark morality tale of one man's redemption will have the deep shadows and stark lines of a graphic novel come to life. However, to bring this powerful narrative to the screen, we need your help.

AFI provides all thesis projects with a small production grant. For the remainder of the funds necessary to complete this project, our team will need the generous support of friends, family and local businesses. Your donation to the project will allow us to complete AFI's requirements and earn a prestigious Master of Fine Arts degree.

If you're interested in investing your time, money, or services in Dead Man's Hour, please proceed to donations. We appreciate any contributions, and are grateful for your support of our careers as young, passionate filmmakers.
